Description

“Extremely mold resistant. Developed outdoors for over 10 seasons as breeding stock for mold conquering breeding projects, it has Hawaiian, African, and Afghani, but the dominant phenotype is still the old Oregon Hashplant stock that we received in a  trade, in 2016. We first found an abandoned male, beautiful and uniform, on the side of the road, in an extremely remote area. That plant was cold hardy in snow and produced a beautiful citrus incense nose. We took it home and bred it. That same year, we saw many locals who had the same phenotype stabilized into a local “strain”. We know that there was Durban in her, but we consider that cultivar a landrace Oregon strain, as they had been selected by the local environment and kept the lineage pure for over 30 years of prohibition. In 2018 we received a few thousand seeds from a breeder, and we used that stock to start as a stabilizing base to breed with. We continued to breed with that stock in Oklahoma for the last 3 years, determined to bring the natural mold resistance we found in the seeds to higher levels, by selecting very high temp, high humidity outdoor environments. In 2020 we found the grapefruit phenotype, and we worked the line until summer 2021 when we ran 300 seeds en mass and found this phenotype to represent what we want to bring to market. Enjoy the large yields, and strong terps, and breed the males to save these heirloom American genetics! They have a variety of agricultural and medicinal strengths, and a slightly Sativa dominant high, despite the relatively squat Indica dominant structure in the majority of the phenotypes expressed. Fast finishers from the short season they stabilized in, from decades in Klamath County, Oregon, expect a 55-day sprint to the finish, or a late September harvest.” – Our friends at Mt Zion Seed Coop
